Career Highlights Willie is a strong and athletic post player who can play either the power forward or center position. Willie has an array of post moves and at times can even step out and hit the long range three point shot. Willie is a solid rebounder and shot blocker. He is a work horse and isn’t scared to bang with anyone in the post. Willie has the tenacity and hunger to guard anyone on the block and doesn’t back down from anyone. Willie is deceptively athletic and can create his own shot to get to the basket. At CSUN he played in 62 games, 41 as a starter in two seasons. He shot .521 from the floor and averaged 5.2 rebounds per game in two seasons. In 2009-10 Season (Senior) Willie was named CSUN’s Defensive Player of the Year, averaged 10.1 points (third-leading scorer), and 4.9 rebounds per game (#2 on the Matadors). Willie scored in double-digits in 15 games including a career-high 26 points (11-for-13 from the floor) against Coastal Carolina (11/24/09). He also tallied ten rebounds against Coastal Carolina (11/24/09) and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds against UC Davis (3/4/10). Prior to transferring to CSUN Willie played at Pepperdine University. In his sophomore season he started 22 of 31 games, including the last 19 games. He averaged 6.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, and shot 55 percent from the field. Willie played at Cedar Community School. Willie was a four-time first team All-Star, an All-Canadian game invite in 2005, and his team captured a gold medal at the 2005 British Columbia Provincial Championships and a silver medal in 2004. Willie was tabbed Most Valuable Player in 2005. Willie gained international experience playing on Canada’s Young Men’s National team that won the bronze medal at the Under-21 World Championships in Argentina during the summer of 2005. Willie averaged 33 points and 15 rebounds as a prep player. Personal Willie was born April 18, 1987 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. His parents are Leslie and Glenn Galick. He has one older brother, Robbie Galick. Willie lists the Phoenix Suns as his favorite professional team and Suns guard Steve Nash as his favorite professional athlete.
