Career Highlights

Lamont is a versatile forward who can play both the SF and PF positions. He is a powerful force under the basket who has a smooth perimeter shot. Lamont causes many mismatches as he can post up and score or he can take the ball outside and hit the perimeter shot. He possesses NBA 3 point range. Lamont is very skilled and on any given night can give you a double/double. Lamont has played two seasons in Bulgaria with the top team Lukoil, where he also participated in Eurocup competition. Lamont was one of the best players in the league as he was named to the Bulgarian League All-Star Game both in 2011 and 2012. He also won a Bulgarian League Championship. Prior to playing in Bulgaria, Lamont had two successful seasons in the top league in Greece.

In his senior season at Charlotte, Lamont led his team in scoring and was second in rebounding. He was also named All-Atlantic 3rd Team in 2009. Prior to Charlotte, Lamont attended Angelina Junior college in Texas. He was named Junior College all-America and was ranked as the 21st best JC player in the country. Lamont attended Tartan High School in St. Paul, Minneapolis.

Personal

Lamont was born on March 16, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He is the son of Patricia Mack. In his spare time Lamont likes to spend time with his son. His favorite basketball player is Scottie Pippen.
