Career Highlights

Justin is a protypical SG who has the ability to also slide over and play some SF. Justin’s shot is a thing of beauty and he is a knock down shooter. Justin also has good ball control and can play some limited minutes at the PG spot. Justin is a very talented player with a wide range of skills. His long arms and athletic ability make him dangerous on the defensive side of the ball. On the offensive side, his range has continually gotten deep with improved accuracy. He also has a high basketball I.Q. His work ethic and attitude both on the floor and off is spectacular. Justin has both a USA and Mexican passport. He spent several years playing in Mexico while also having stints in two leagues in Romania and Germany.

As a senior at Hawaii-Hilo, Justin earned Pacific West Conference First-Team honors and was selected PWC Player of the Week November 22 and 29th. He was also named Big Island Player of the Month for December. He was also honored as the University of Hawaii at Hilo Athlete of the Year. He started all 25 games and was the team’s leading scorer in 17 of the 25 games (led team with 19ppg). Justin transferred to Hawaii-Hilo from Saddleback Community College where he went to the State Championship and the Final Four State Tournament.

Justin was a 2001 graduate of Santiago High School. He lettered 3 years and 20ppg his senior year. He was an All-County selection and voted the team’s Most Valuable Player in his senior year.

Justin was born on September 20, 1983 in San Dimas, CA. His parents are Anna and Francis Griffin. He also has a brother and three sisters. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. His favorite player is Kobe Bryant.
