Julian Vaughn is a protypical big man who has the size and strength to play the center position but also the skills to play the power forward as well. Julian is a beast in the post and can score on anyone in the paint. Julian is a tough defender and has a knack for rebounding and blocking shots. Julian can also step out and hit the 15-16 foot jump shot. In his senior season Julian averaged 8ppg, 6rpg, 2bpg, 1.5apg, FG 50%, FT 70%. In his senior season Julian made the Big East Tournament Finals. Julian transferred from Florida State to Georgetown. At Florida State Julian averaged 3.0 points (ninth on the team), 2.3 rebounds (eighth) and blocked 21 shots (second) as he played in 31 of the Seminoles’ 34 games during his freshman season. His 21 blocked shots were tied for the eighth most by a freshman in school history. Julian competed for a spot on the USA Basketball Under-18 team in 2006. Julian also earned the award as the Seminoles’ Top Sixth Man at the annual team honors banquet in 2008. Julian was a four year letter winner in basketball in high school. Julian was also named Mr. Basketball in the state of Virginia following his senior season by the Roanoke Times and World News. He averaged 8.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.3 blocked shots per game in his senior season. Julian led the Warriors to the No. 1 overall national ranking and the mythical national championship in the USA Today’s Super 25 boys high school basketball rankings for the 2007 season. Julian helped lead Oak Hill to a 40-1 overall record to tie the single-season school record for wins. Personal Julian was born on December 16, 1988. He is the son of Eric and Marcia Vaughn. Julian has four siblings, Tori Ervin, Theus Ervin, Nick Vaughn, and Adrian Vaughn. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English. His favorite basketball player is Patrick Ewing.
