Jibril is an athletic 6’2 combo guard who is a prolific scorer. Jibril is the son of sharp shooting NBA great Craig Hodges. Just like his dad Jibril can knock down a shot from anywhere on the court. He has legit NBA 3 point range. Jibril is very versatile and can play either guard position. He is a good floor general and can be starting PG. At the same time Jibril can score from anywhere on the court and can be a deadly scoring option at the SG position. Jibril has made a name for himself since leaving college. He has been successful in Germany, Hungary, and the Middle East. Jibril was named to the Hungarian All-Star Game in 2011 and also reached the Hungarian Cup and League Semi-finals.

Jibril was named First Team All-Big West as a senior. He finished his collegiate career as Long Beach State’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made with 252 (ranking sixth in Big West history). He also ranks ninth all-time in scoring with 1,241 career points. Jibril started 87 of 114 games. As a senior Jibril averaged 14.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. He made a season total of 87 three-pointers and set a new school record. Jibril started 27 of 30 games. In his senior season he reached the Big West Tournament Finals. As a freshman, Jibril was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team.

Personal

Jibril was born on February 16, 1984 in San Diego, CA. He is the son of NBA standout Craig Hodges who played ten years in the NBA with the Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, and San Diego Clippers. Jibril received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications. His favorite basketball player is his father.
