Career Highlights

Brad Waldow is a long, strong, brute force in the paint, and a true center. Statistically in college he was one of the best big men in the country. At 6’10, he knows how to use his size and weight to his advantage in the post. While carrying over 260lbs on his frame he is very mobile. He has good feel, runs well, and plays with purpose on every possession. He has good interior footwork to create space to get his shot off. He knows how to take advantage of mismatches on switches in the post and passes well out of the double teams. For a low post player he demonstrates good shooting mechanics. Brad is not only a beast in the post on the offensive end, but he is a hard nose defender. He uses his size and body to box out, and is therefore a great rebounder. Brad has a great work ethic. Brad has played overseas in France, Belgium, and FIBA Europe Cup. Out of college Brad was considered a top senior prospect and received an invite to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

Brad lettered four seasons at Saint Mary’s and finished his career as one of the top players in school history. He finished among the top 10 on the school’s career lists in several categories: Scoring (4th), Rebounding (4th), Games Played (2nd); Games Started (2nd); Blocked Shots (4th); Filed Goals (3rd); Field Goal Attempts (6th); Field Goal Percentage (4th); Free Throws (8th) and Free Throw Attempts (2nd). Brad led the team in field goal percentage and blocked shots in each of his four seasons at Saint Mary’s. In 2014-15 Brad was named All-WCC 1st Team, averaging 19ppg, 9rpg, 2apg, 1bpg. In 2013-14 Brad was also named All-WCC 1st Team. In 2012-2013 Brad was named to the WCC All-Tournament Team, and in 2011-2012 he was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team.

Prior to attending St. Mary’s, Brad averaged a double-double as a senior, scoring 26ppg and grabbing 11rpg at Ponderosa High School. He was a First-Team All-Sierra Valley League selection and a Third Team All-Metro selection by the Sacramento Bee.

Brad was born on December 30, 1991 to Shirley and Roger Waldow. He is one of 5 children. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration. His favorite player is Charles Barkley.

“Coming out of college I didn’t know much about the next steps to becoming a pro. The moment I signed with Scott and his team at Rize they were able to explain and easily maneuver me through the process of the NBA and overseas basketball. After signing with Scott Nichols and Rize Management I felt like I was a priority. Scott has helped me take my career to a new level.”
